Police said investigations have led to suspicions that several actresses could be also involved in the prostitution ring.Surakshith Suman, the alleged pimp who was arrested at the ITC Royal Gardenia on Vittal Mallya Road on Thursday night, has given the cops crucial information about the well-knit racket.
The names of the other actresses allegedly involved in the trade are yet to be established.
In police custody
Police arrested Suman along with Jamuna and Venugopal, a software engineer, on Thursday night. Jamuna and Venugopal have been remanded in 14-day judicial custody. Suman, who struck the deal for Venugopal, is in police custody. Suman lured his customers online.
Police swooped down on the hotel after being tipped off about the racket three months ago. It is yet to be ascertained whether the flesh trade is confined to Gardenia hotel alone, or is spread across the City.
