Sunil Siddaram Inamdar, 32, a resident of Dasarahalli, on Wednesday night, was killed when his bike collided with a roadside electric pole and a cement bench.
He hailed from Bijapur and was running a welding shop. He was staying with wife Jyothi and two children at Chowdeshwarinagar, the police said.
The accident occurred when Inamdar, who was returning home from his workplace, lost control trying to overtake a truck.
A few passersby rushed him to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, the police added.
