Bengaluru: A 29-year-old two-wheeler rider was critically injured after a tree branch fell on him in Hanumanth Nagar, South Bengaluru, on Sunday, the police said.
Akshay Shivaram, a resident of Srinivasa Nagar, was returning home after an errand when a fallen branch struck him near Brahma Chaitanya Mandir around 1 am.
He lost balance and crashed his two-wheeler into a stationary vehicle, suffering critical injuries. He was rushed to a private hospital and underwent surgery. He remains in the ICU, the police said.
The police have received a Medico-Legal Case (MLC) report from the hospital and are initiating further procedures.
Shivaram works as an HR executive for a private firm and lives with his parents, the police added.
