Balasubramaniam was not only a trail blazing musician but also a composer par excellence. He has to his credit several kritis, varnams and tillanas in a variety of ragas. Both the concerts in the festival will be devoted to compositions of Balasubramaniam. The concert on July 25 will be presented by Sumitra Nitin and on the July 26 by Geetha Murthy.
On July 26, prior to the concert, Neela Ramgopal will give a talk on GNB, the legend and his contribution to Carnatic music. The venue for the both the concerts is Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira, Banashankari and the programme will commence at 5.30 pm.
