Mohammed Haris Nalapad, the son of Shanthinagar Congress legislator N A Haris, has moved the high court for the relaxation of his bail so that he could visit Makkah.
Nalapad has been formally charged with attempting to kill Vidwath L, the son of a businessman, during an altercation at Farzi Café in the upscale UB City in February 2018. He was arrested a few days after the incident.
In June 2018, the high court granted him bail on the condition that he would not leave the jurisdiction of the trial court without prior permission.
The hearing on the bail relaxation has been adjourned until May 8.
