They are sweet and hot. They are two of the most popular faces on Indian television.

MTV VJs Rhea and Bani, both of whom started off with reality shows before becoming VJs, have come a long way and become youth icons in a short span.

In the City to promote a brand they are endorsing, these two pretty girls spoke to Metrolife about their career interests and lives being VJs.

Rhea, who is just 18 now, shot to fame with a reality show called Teen Diva where she emerged as a runner-up. After that, there was no looking back for this charming beauty who happens to be the youngest VJ on MTV.

“VJing is a job where you can just be yourself. You don’t need to act or be fake. Everyday, you get to meet different people and each day has something special to offer and every experience is unique,” she says.

Though she was the most hated contestant on MTV Roadies 4, Gurbani Judge aka Bani enjoys a huge fan following across the country. Her fans like her bindaas
attitude, her coloured hair and not to forget — her tattoos.

The daring girl is now eyeing the film industry. “Definitely, a day will come when I will try acting also. As of now, I am enjoying my job. There is a lot to learn from this job and there is great scope for innovation. I have a lot of expectations from my career and I am not ready to restrict myself to one genre.”

Though both Rhea and Bani entered the television industry with reality shows, both are not keen on making appearances on reality shows in the near future.

“We are not looking for any such shows right now. At the same time, we
cannot say what will come to us after sometime,” they say.

Bani has still not gotten over  Roadies 4. “I was unhappy with Roadies. However, I stood out from the other Roadies and the audience recognised me. That is enough for me.
Roadies is my past, I don’t want to turn back as I have a lot of options in front of me,” says Bani. Though they gel well with each other, they are totally different personalities.
Rhea is girlish while Bani screams attitude, which may be due to her Roadie image.
When it comes to future plans, Bani sounds more ambitious.

“Bollywood is certainly a place I would like to explore one day. I have always wanted to be an artiste and now, I am working in that direction. But there is one thing I am sure of — wherever I may be, I will create my own identity,” claims Bani.

Rhea adds, “I like to be under spotlight. Life is boring without camera and glamour. And the job I am doing gives me all of them. So why should I look for more?”
