The last day to pay property tax for the year 2008-09 without penalty was June 30, 2009. The last date to pay the tax for the year 2009-10 without penalty is August 30, 2009.
Replying to a question by Congress member R V Venkatesh in the Legislative Council the CM said that the government had given enough time to pay the tax. BBMP had collected Rs 748 crore as property tax for the year 2008-09.
