Under sharp criticism from public over blocking the way for ambulances, the traffic police and Chief Minister’s convoy on Sunday facilitated smooth movement of an ambulance on Old Airport Road when Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was passing through the road.
After Siddaramaiah got down at the HAL airport on Sunday evening, his convoy was on its way back to his official residence via Old Airport Road. Around the same time, an ambulance attached to Hosmat hospital suddenly entered the Old Airport Road from Suranjan Das Road, carrying a patient. The traffic police on the ground immediately conveyed the message to senior officers who got in touch with the chief minister’s convoy. Within seconds, the traffic police got into action, while the chief minister’s convoy made the way for the ambulance.
