Over 2,500 participants took part in the Wildcraft Alpha League Races, a test of endurance, skills and stamina, at Yelahanka on Sunday.

The Wildcraft League Race was conducted in three categories.
In the Ultra Athletes category, the athletes had to ran 25-km course laden with over 100 obstacles. The second category had participants between the age group of 18 to 80 years running 5-km course dotted with 20 plus obstacles while the third category included children between the age group of eight to 14 years. Children ran a course of 1.7 km with seven obstacles.

Each obstacle was tested by a certified Indian Mountaineering Federation (IMF) instructor and IMF certified instructors supervised each obstacle during the race.

Co-founder of Alpha League Races, Jatin Arora  said, “We designed the obstacles in a manner that would get participants to sweat it out and clench their teeth as they jump, crawl, climb and hop. All this while the clock ticks. The race tested each participant’s mental strength, stamina to endure and camaraderie.”
