“Our focus this year is on advocating the integrated farming approach. So, we have a wide variety of stalls related to fisheries, animal breeding and the like,” said Dr L Ramakrishna Rao, Senior Information Specialist, attached to the UAS.

The annual fair that caters exclusively to farmers serves as a platform for introducing new technology, sharing expertise on crops, poultry and animal husbandry.

“The highlight of the Krishi Mela is the seminar which provides a platform for farmer to interact, share knowledge and motivate other farmers,” he added.

The exhibition includes stalls on crop varieties, farm machinery, farm animals and items made by Self Help Groups.

Experts were roped in to provide insights on topics like organic farming and fertilisers.
