Campaigns for Srinivas

Meanwhile, Tharoor also met the members of Whitefield Rising.

He was at the Mahadevapura constituency campaigning for A C Srinivas, the party candidate from the constituency who is pitted against Arvind Limbavali of the BJP.

The residents talked to him for over 45 minutes and asked him why should they vote for the Congress.

“Despite known as one of the major taxpaying constituencies of the city, the area is ill-equipped with no proper infrastructure. So we asked him why should we opt for the Congress instead of the BJP,” said a member of the Whitefield Rising.

“Tharoor said that we should look at the broader picture wherein the BJP was trying to divide the country on the communal lines and there was no unity,” the member added.
