Two passengers snatched the bag of a BMTC conductor, containing Rs 4,500 in cash, and jumped from the moving bus in no time near Rupena Agrahara on Wednesday night.

Rajesh, the conductor on the BMTC bus going to Kempegowda Bus Stand from Attibele, was busy with work. There were five passengers in the bus. It was 10.30 pm. Two passengers showed him a daily pass, a closer look at which revealed it had expired.

Rajesh asked the men to buy ticket. But the duo argued with him, and all of a sudden, snatched his cash bag and jumped from the moving bus whose hydraulic doors were incidentally open at the time.

The driver could not immediately realise what had happened. He stopped the bus only after the conductor started screaming. But it was too late as the robbers had vanished in the darkness.
