The ‘Music Club’ of IBS-Bangalore recently organised ‘Art Beat’, a talent show. The students of IBS actively took part in various cultural events to expose their latent talent.
The result – the platform turned into a riot of colours with students taking part in dance, singing, photography and plenty of other cultural activities. In all, approximately 60 students participated in contests, such as face painting, mehendi, best out of waste, treasure
hunt, singing, dancing, and photography.
The ‘Music Club’ of IBS-B is formed every year and consists of students of the latest batch. “The ‘Music Club’ is the heart and soul of our cultural initiatives. Showcasing talent and encouraging and providing a platform for budding singers and musicians are the primary focus areas,” points out M Sunil Kumar Singh of IBSB.
An offshoot of the ‘Music Club’ is the college band. The college band represents a formal band, which takes part in competitions, also, an extracurricular activity. “Our college band’s compositions range from rock to melody.
We have talented singers, who are capable of singing in all categories of music,” adds Sunil. ‘Octave’ is the name of the latest college band, which consists of Sreeju Premarajan, Arushi Masaladan, Madhushree, Apoorva L and Bhupesh. The students and faculty members will be having stress-buster sessions at regular intervals in the form of performances.
