The Bangalore Petroleum Dealers’ Association has allayed fears about the petrol pumps going dry on Thursday.

Following reports that the petrol prices will come down by Rs 2.5 per litre from the midnight of August 14, people expressed apprehensions that the dealers may not buy petrol from the oil firms as it may cause them a loss of Rs 2.5 per litre, in case the stocks are not exhausted before the revised price comes into effect

When contacted, Bhushan Narang, president, Bangalore Petrol Dealers’ Association, said the fear that the petrol pumps going dry is baseless.

All the petrol pumps have enough stock of petrol and there would be no shortage as feared.
