The City police raided several shops and seized pirated DVDs and CDs worth lakhs of rupees and arrested 47 people recently.
Bangalore North Division police raided a few places in Yeshwantpur where pirated DVDs and CDs were sold. Lokesh (36) was arrested and as many as 2,584 DVDs and CDs of different language films and songs were seized from him. The value of the seized goods is estimated at Rs 2.5 lakh.
In a similar operation, the Bangalore East Division Police raided several shops selling pirated DVDs and CDs in Ulsoor, Indiranagar, JB Nagar, KR Puram, Ramamurthynagar, Banaswadi, Hennur, KG Halli, DJ Halli and Commercial Street.
