A complaint has been filed before the Lokayukta against the officials of the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) for not conducting a land audit of its lands in the city.

The complaint filed by Saidatta stated that due to lack of land audit, a large extent of BDA land has gone into the hands of private builders in the city.

The complaint said that as per records, the BDA has developed 56 layouts, spread across 28,127 acres. The complainant claims that the BDA has conducted land audit pertaining to only 12 layouts. The complainant has requested the Lokayukta to hold an enquiry to find out the total extent of BDA land in the grip of private persons and also sought directions to restore the land.
