RTE Students’ and Parents’ Association on Saturday lodged a police complaint against authorities of the Department of Public Instruction who granted permission illegally to Orchids The International School in Jalahalli.

Association president Mullahalli Soori in a complaint to the Jalahalli police pointed out that the then BEO (N-2) K G Anjanappa and Education Coordinator Rama Nayak were among the officials who allowed the management to run English-medium school, though permission was granted to run a Kannada-medium school.

The police said that they received the complaint and would probe the matter. A case has already been registered and there is no need for a fresh FIR, said a police officer.
