Road users had a tough time travelling on J C Road, Corporation Circle and City Market due to traffic jams and slow movement of vehicles. The police too had great difficulty in controlling the traffic movement and deployed additional policemen to ensure smooth vehicular flow.

The first procession was taken out by Halasuru Gate police in the morning from Mysore Bank to the police station, as part of crime prevention week. Vehicles moved at snail’s pace due to the procession. However, the policemen claimed that they took out the march without affecting the traffic flow.

As things were getting under control, it again turned chaotic late in the afternoon after Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee activists took out a procession which passed through Hudson Circle and culminated at Banappa Park.

The demonstrators condemned the disparaging remarks reportedly made by Tourism Minister Janardhana Reddy against the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Siddaramaiah.
Vehicles queued up on J C Road, Corporation Circle, Hudson Circle and City Market area due to the procession.

Again, police had a tough time in ensuring smooth traffic flow.  However, traffic movement was back to normalcy after an hour. The road users were seen criticising the Government for allowing procession on roads in central parts of the City.
