Koramangala police have arrested two people on the charge of raping a woman from North India.

The suspects are Deepak Thomas, managing director of a private firm, and Vinod, an employee with the same firm.

The victim, a 19-year-old girl, had come to the city in search of a job. She was staying at a paying guest accommodation. Vinod had come in contact with her. Vinod and Deepak took her to a pub on June 21 and then to Vinod’s house. They added sedatives in a cold drink and made her drink it. Vinod raped her when she fell asleep. Since Deepak was involved in the incident, cops have arrested him, based on a plaint by the victim.
