The city police stopped the Raj Bhavan Chalo protest organised by the Congress on Friday morning.

The march was organised to protest against Governor Vajubhai Vala's decision of inviting the BJP to form the government, despite lacking a majority.

The protesters started from the Congress headquarters on Queen's Road, but the police did not allow them to reach the Raj Bhavan. They put up barricades near Balekundri Circle, following which the leaders went back to the KPCC office by car.
