The vehicle ferrying former minister and mining baron G Janardhana Reddy from Sanjay Gandhi Hospital back to the Central Prison in Parappana Agrahara was involved in a minor accident near Madiwala on Wednesday afternoon. However, none of those in the vehicle was injured.
Prison officials had brought Reddy to get him treated for back pain.
As he was being taken back to central prison in an SUV, a speeding private bus side-swiped the SUV near Madiwala. No case has been registered in connection with the incident.
Police sources said prison officials shifted Reddy into another vehicle and took him to the central prison.
