The residents have formed S K Lane Mavalli Playground Protection Committee to stop any construction work on the playground. The Committee stated, on Tuesday, in a press note that the BBMP’s project would kill a lung space in the area.
It said poor families living in the area send their children to play in this playground but this project is set to snatch this space from the residents, said the Committee. They said if the BBMP do not heed to their plea then schoolchildren would hold a serial hunger strike.
