Rly passengers stranded at Kengeri

As many as 800 passengers of the Tirupati-Chamarajanagar fast passenger train are stranded at the Kengeri station, due to protests and the bandh against the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.

The train left Tirupati Friday night and reached Kengeri Saturday morning. The loco pilots had to halt the train at the station, due to protests at Gejjalagere in Mandya district.

Local residents went to the railway station after the news spread and offered food and water to the passengers.  The train had not moved from the station till Saturday night.
