Rs 10 lakh stolen from car's back seat

On Monday afternoon, Rajashekar, supervisor at a real estate office was deputed to withdraw cash from a private bank, opposite NIFT.

He drove back from the bank with his nine-year-old nephew seated in the front seat and the bag containing Rs 10 lakh in the rear seat.

Rajashekhar started the car, but realised that one of the tyres was deflated.

When Rajashekar finished changing the tyre, he saw that the cash bag was gone, police said.

According to police, the car window glasses was raised and the boy also got down to watch his uncle changing the tyres. Police speculate that someone opened the door and took away the bag of cash. Investigation is on.
