Rs 7,300 cr for Bengaluru Nagarothana scheme

The state Cabinet on Wednesday approved an action plan worth Rs 7,300 crore for the infrastructure development in Bengaluru.

The action plan involves construction of flyovers, underpasses, re-modelling of storm-water drains and construction of rail over bridges. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has drawn up the action plan under the Chief Minister’s Nagarothana scheme for 2015-16 and 2016-17, Law Minister T B Jayachandra told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.

A high-level committee will be set up to give fast-track approvals to the projects under Nagarothana programme. The committee will be empowered to give approvals to projects above Rs 10 crore, he added.
