Officials of the Reginal Transport Office (RTO) are probing the reasons that led to the accident at the Esteem Mall junction on Thursday, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) B Dayanand said here on Friday.
Action will be taken based on the report submitted by the RTO officials. “The tanker driver Yatish Babu is claiming that the vehicle ran amok due to failure of brakes. However, we cannot trust his words,” he added.
Babu Rajendra Prasad, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-East), told Deccan Herald that driver’s negligence and rash driving seems to have caused the accident.
