A speeding, sand-laden lorry rammed into the compound of a building in Bhavani Nagar on 100 Feet Ring Road near Kadirenhalli underpass on Monday.
According to police, the accident occurred after the driver of the lorry lost control of the vehicle as he sped over a road hump.
The vehicle hit the road median, veered to the right and crashed into the compound wall. While no one was injured in the accident, the vehicle and the compound wall were damaged.
The driver of the vehicle fled the spot after the accident. Traffic police shifted the vehicle using a crane after unloading the sand. A case has been registered against the missing lorry driver.
