The Wilson Garden traffic police have arrested a school bus driver in BTM Layout on Monday for drunk driving.

Police said the driver, Ravi (25) had the blood alcohol level of 630 mg/dL, when he was subjected to a breathalyser test and was booked under IPC Section 279 - rash and negligent driving endangering public lives.

The police said they found a school bus being driven in a rash and negligent manner during a routine enforcement drive near BTM Layout. They stopped the vehicle and found the driver in an inebriated condition. They said Ravi was asked to pick up 12 children from another bus of the same school, that had broken down near Wilson Garden.

The police made alternative arrangements and sent children to school safely. They also summoned the school authorities and issued warnings.
