A four-year-old boy, suffering from a visible genetic disorder of dry skin, has been sent out of a City school by the management.

Despite the LKG student’s parents submitting a medical report that it was not  a communicable disease as feared by the school authorities, Jayadeesha, who was just 10 days into the school, has been permanently ousted from the Navodaya Kishore Kendra situated at Singapura Layout near Vidyaranyapura.

Jayadeesha’s mother Rachana, who is a teacher at the same school could not convince the management that the problem was genetic and curable.

On Friday, Jayadeesha’s hapless parents Rachana and Harish met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at the maiden Janaspandana programme here and narrated their ordeal and sought his intervention.

Harish, who owns a taxi agency, later said that the chief minister had assured them of support for Jayadeesha’s medical care and also has asked the jurisdictional block education officer (BEO) to ensure that the child is re-admitted into the school.
