Schools celebrate success in SSLC, felicitate toppers

It was celebration time for many schools in Bengaluru as they had scored cent per cent results in the SSLC exam. While in a few places, toppers were congratulated by giving them sweetmeat, in others, classmates awaited their arrival to cheer for them.

When third rank holder Aishwarya K Aithal walked into Mother Teresa English Medium High School in Jalahalli, she was welcomed with loud cheers. The girl has scored 623 out of 625. A special event was organised to fete the topper.

“It was a pleasant surprise. I was presented with a bouquet. My friends and their parents had gathered to wish me,” she told Deccan Herald. For Pramatha P Dixit, it was a small gathering of friends with whom she chose to celebrate. This student from Poornapragna High School in Yelahanka Satellite Town was among those who secured the third position by scoring 99.7%.

When she went to school, celebrations were already on. The school management and principal congratulated her.
