The HSR Layout police have arrested seven persons in connection with a 10-month old murder case.

Ambarish, Prabhakar, Nanjunda, Girish, Soma alias Somashekar, Mohan Kumar and Sudhakar - all residents of Byadaralli in Anekal taluk - had allegedly bludgeoned Mohsin, 28 (a tipper lorry driver), to death on August 9, 2011. The body was found in an open space at Haralur village in HSR Layout.

Police said they murdered Mohsin fearing that he would expose their sexual acts with him. Mohsin was a common friend of the suspects, but was close to Nanjunda. He and Nanjunda often indulged in sodomy. On August 9, 2011, the duo had sex after which Nanjunda called up Soma, Girish, Mohan and Sudhakar, who also had sex with Mohsin.

The suspects decided to murder Mohsin suspecting that he might create trouble for them in future. They asked Ambarish and Prabhakar to come to the place and together smashed Mohsin’s head with a stone and fled, police said.
