Union minister for Road Transport and Highways has directed the officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to clear Shiradi Ghat for traffic within a week.

MLAs from Dakshina Kannada and NHAI officials met Gadkari, in the presence of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, at New Delhi on Monday.

Gadkari ordered NHAI officials to complete the pumpwell and Thokkottu flyover works within three months. Kateel pointed out that the state environment department was give its approval for the four-laning of BC Road-Hassan stretch (4 km).
