Siddaganga seer Shivakumar Swami (111) was discharged from BGS Gleneagles Global Hospital in Kengeri here on Monday.

According to a statement from the hospital, the seer was diagnosed to have developed infection in his liver tube and an endoscopic retrograde cholangio pancreatography was done as planned as his CRP E-reactive protein (infection marker) was high.

The seer successfully underwent the procedure and two more stents were placed in the common bile duct.

He has already undergone the procedure six times in the past and he withstood the procedure well. He will continue to be on medication for the next few days and will be closely monitored by his personal doctors, the hospital authorities said in the statement.
