Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP), South Division, conducted a special drive on Monday to curb traffic violations by BBMP garbage truck and water tanker drivers.
The enforcement took place between 11 am and 4 pm.
During the drive, the police booked 100 cases against BBMP garbage truck drivers and 235 cases against water tanker drivers under the Indian Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
In addition, the BTP instructed the drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules, and conducted awareness sessions on road safety.
