<p>Bengaluru: The Bengaluru police have begun taking action against individuals who file false complaints, City Police Commissioner B Dayananda said on Tuesday.</p>.<p>"Under the Indian law, lodging an FIR on false grounds is a punishable offence. Those who file such complaints can be prosecuted,” Dayananda stated. He added that the police are identifying cases where complaints were filed with malicious intent, such as seeking revenge.</p>.<p>In the last five years, six such cases have been presented before the court, resulting in two convictions.
