Close to 80 teams had turned out for the competition. However, only six teams  - Christ Junior College, Deeksha Centre for Learning, National Hill View Public School, and Sri Kumaran Children's Home could make it to the finals. The teams were selected after an initial round of written test.

The contestants were tested on their prowess in subjects like science, arts, movie, history as well as literature.

The highlight of the quiz was the interactive session between the quiz master and audience. Their answers were rewarded with T-shirts and mugs with IGNOU logo.

“I never expected that there would be questions about popular TV shows and movies. It was different from a conventional quiz, which is usually won by nerds,”said Kiran P, a student. The quiz competition was attended by various officials from IGNOU. The university Vice-Chancellor, V N Rajashekharan Pillai distributed prizes to the winners.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, V N Rajashekharan said in a first of its kind, IGNOU has launched a special programme in management in Logistics and Supply Chain Management association with Future Innoversity.

The course has been approved by the University Grants Commission and will be certified by the IGNOU. The full-time programme has been conceived, designed and prepared by Future Group’s academic subsidiary, Future Human Development Limited.

"We provided them guidelines only about the course structure, the number of credits and teaching hours, etc. The syllabus, however, was completely devised by the conglomerate itself so as to make the graduates fully ready for the industry," he revealed.
