The high court has granted stay on the proceedings against N Balasubramanya, superintending engineer of Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited (KRIDL).

The engineer has approached the court, seeking quashing of the show-cause notice issued by BMTF with regard to misappropriation of funds to the tune of Rs 842 crore between 2013 and 2016 in KR Puram constituency.

Balasubramanya has contended that BMTF does not have the authority to conduct an enquiry into the work of KRIDL.

He has said that the entire work carried out by KRIDL is under the direct supervision
of BBMP. Justice A S Bopanna granted stay on the BMTF proceedings and ordered notice to the government and BMTF.
