Rakshith G, (21), allegedly created panic among residents by firing in the air and threatening locals. He later uploaded the video to his social media account, which quickly drew public attention and prompted police action.

Police summoned Rakshith, who appeared along with his father. During the questioning, he told officers that he had purchased the toy gun a few days earlier from a local shop for Rs 4,500 and had performed Ayudha puja before firing it. He admitted to doing the stunt to gain popularity on social media.

His father apologised for his son’s behaviour. Police have registered a non-cognisable report (NCR) and further investigations are underway.
