The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has dismantled a portion of the wall at the entrance of the pedestrian subway on Nrupathunga Road to build an RCC roof there.

The civic body took the decision as the fibre sheet roof was repeatedly stolen. It will now build a new wall and fix the RCC slab over it. The subway, which acts as a divider between the road and the bus stop, was built in 2009 at a cost of Rs 60 lakh and was inaugurated by then chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.
