Bengaluru: An employee of a popular sweets outlet chain in southern Bengaluru has been arrested for allegedly filming a woman inside the washroom.
The suspect, Amodh, worked at Anand Sweets on 60 Feet Road, 5th Block, Koramangala.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 8 pm on April 25 when the 25-year-old woman used the washroom at the store. To her shock, she saw a mobile phone in the washroom's ventilation area.
She confronted the shop manager, and the police were subsequently notified, according to the FIR.
Amodh was identified and taken into police custody. The woman also shared her ordeal on her Instagram account.
"He has confessed to the crime. We are in the process of extracting the video from his mobile phone, which will act as a crucial piece of evidence in the probe," a police investigator told DH.
The suspect has been booked under BNS Section 77 (voyeurism).
