Tamar's body sent to Israel

John Pinto Ambulance International will transport the body to Israel early Wednesday, police said.

The body was sent following a request by Ruth Abraham, the mother of the victim through the Israeli Consulate. Ruth had sought the finger and teeth prints of the victim to confirm the identity.

It is mandatory in Israel for every citizen to keep a record of finger and teeth prints. The identity was established as the reports matched.

Laptop retained

The police have retained the laptop of Tamar for investigation.

Tamar was allegedly murdered by Lokesh Chandra Das (31),  a computer programmer and Yoga instructor at his flat on Kanakapura Road on April 15. He had kept the body in a freezer. Lokesh has since surrendered before the police and confessed to the crime.
