Bengaluru: Bengaluru: An elderly couple and their married daughter died in a gruesome road accident near Dobbspet on the northwestern outskirts of Bengaluru on Thursday, police officials said.
The couple's two grandchildren were also injured in the crash, but are currently out of danger.

The victims Gopal, (60), his daughter Deepa (30), and wife Shashikala (55).
Travelling by a Maruti Celerio, they were headed to Sira, Tumakuru district, to attend a naming ceremony at a relative's house.
However, as the car neared the Lakkuru railway bridge on the Pune-Bengaluru national highway, it crashed into a left-side barrier around 10.30 am.
Traffic police investigating the crash said it remains unclear how it actually happened.
Gopal, who was at the wheel, doesn't appear to have applied any sudden brakes nor did the car's air bags deploy.
"The cause of the accident remains a mystery. We are still trying to figure things out," an officer close to the investigations told DH.
Shashikala, who was sitting in the front next to her husband, died on the spot. Gopal and Deepa died on the way to hospital, the officer added.
Deepa's husband, who lives in Pune, has arrived in Bengaluru, according to the officer.
