Three trees out of the 17 which were poisoned last month to provide visibility for a hoarding in Marathalli have been saved.

“I treated all the poisoned trees, but all of them did not respond as acid was poured onto them. They were regularly watered and provided cow dung. The roots of all trees were also strengthened. Now they are surviving,” said Vijay Nishanth, the tree doctor. He works with BBMP too, and in the last two years, has managed to save over 100 dying trees across the city.
