A four-year-old boy was killed hours after a gate outside his home in Jai Bhuvaneshwari Nagar, Siddapura, collapsed on him on Thursday.
Akshay was playing with friends when the incident occurred around 5.30 pm. He was rushed to Nimhans where he succumbed at 7.10 pm. His parents were away when the incident occurred, police said.
35 women rescued
The CCB raided a paying guest accommodation in Mahalakshmi Layout and a house in Vyalikaval here on Thursday night, rescuing 35 women said to have been forced into prostitution. Rajesh alias Harish, 20, Dilip, 22, and Shivakumar, 25, all from Hassan district, were arrested whereas five others managed to escape, police said.
