 The City traffic police have imposed curbs on movement and parking of vehicles in the Central Business District areas on Monday to ensure peaceful New Year celebrations.

The restrictions will be enforced on MG Road, Brigade Road, Residency Road, St Marks Road and Church Street.

Vehicles coming from Queen’s Statue Junction on MG Road after 8 pm on Monday and moving towards Ulsoor and beyond should turn left at Anil Kumble Circle, at BRV Junction, turn right into Cubbon Road and proceed on Cubbon Road and join MG Road near Webb’s Junction.

Vehicles proceeding towards Cantonment areas from Ulsoor should turn right near Trinity Circle and enter Halasuru Road, turn left on Dickenson Road and proceed towards Cubbon Road.

Parking regulations

Parking of vehicles is allowed on both sides of Kamaraja Road - Kamaraja Road Junction to Commercial Street Junction. Public can park their vehicles on the first floor of the BMTC shopping complex near Shivajinagar bus stand. Magarath Road has been closed from Garuda Mall towards Brigade Road

To reach Brigade Road, motorists can take a right turn at Commissariate Road and move on Markham Road. All the flyovers, Mysore Road, Hosur Road, Richmond Road, ITC, will be closed for traffic from 9 pm on December 31 till 6 am on January 1.
