Two men, including a security guard, committed suicide in separate incidents on Friday.

A 42-year-old security guard hanged himself from the branch of a tree near the Bengaluru Rural SP’s office on Cunningham Road.

The police said that Mohammed B was working in a club in Millers Tank bund for the past four years and was addicted to alcohol. The management and the federation members were upset over his drinking habit and asked him to quit his job. They even called his daughter and asked her to take him home. The family sought three days’ time to take him home. He may have committed suicide after overhearing this and feared he may lose his job.
