Two held for attacking cab driver, robbing his car and cell phone

Two persons have been arrested for reportedly attacking a cab driver and robbing his car and a mobile phone.

Dilip Kumar (24), a resident of Byadarahalli and Chethan Basavaiah (25) for Agrahara Dasarahalli are the arrested suspect.

When the cab driver was near Agrahara Dasarahalli on April 5th, the suspects attacked him and robbed his Toyota Etios car and the cell phone and before fleeing, the police said.

After receiving a complaint from the victim, the Magadi Road Police nabbed the duo and recovered 6.65 lakh worth valuables, including a car, one mobile phone, and a Bajaj Pulsar bike.

During interrogation, the police found that Dilip and Chethan were into robbing to lead a posh life.

Dilip was a rowdy sheeter in Rajagopalnagar police station and has cases of attempt to murder booked in Kamakshipalya station.

Chethan has cases booked in Ramanagaram rural police station for robbery and other cases.

According to police officials, "the two were booked in several cases and were in prison for a brief time but were out on bail. However, they continued rob people to make money to lead a posh lifestyle."
