Bengaluru: Two men in their 40s have died in separate road accidents in the city since Sunday, according to the police.

In northeastern Bengaluru, a 42-year-old pillion rider died after a speeding car rammed the two-wheeler near Jakkur Cross around 9.30 pm on March 9. 

Sandeep, the deceased, was travelling with his realtor friend Harish Kumar when the accident occurred. The two had gone to see a site and were returning home when the crash occurred. 

While Sandeep suffered major head injuries and was declared dead on arrival at a hospital, Kumar escaped with minor injuries. 

The car driver sped off after the incident, and the Yelahanka traffic police have launched a manhunt for him. 

In another accident, a 47-year-old scooter rider died after a lorry rammed his two-wheeler near Fraser Town on Monday. The police have detained the lorry driver and are questioning him. 

The deceased has been identified as Naveen Kumar, a resident of Dodda Banasawadi.
