Vehicle carrying cash hits car, 2 injured

Two staff of a cash replenishment agency suffered injuries when a four-wheeler in which they were travelling carrying Rs 7 crore collided with a car that was parked on roadside on National Highway-4 at Binnamangala near Nelamangala on Friday.

The local police rushed to the spot immediately and arranged another vehicle to transport the money. The two staff were treated at a local hospital, said the police.

The cash replenishment agency ISSSDB was transporting Rs 7 crore from Ballari and Hosapete to be delivered to various banks in Bengaluru.

The driver of the four-wheeler lost control and rammed into a car parked on the roadside. The staff of the vehicle contacted the police who immediately rushed to the spot.

The police arranged for another vehicle and sent the money along with the security men. The accident affected vehicular flow on the busy highway, but the police cleared the two vehicles involved in the accident and ensured smooth flow, added the police.
