Around 100 youths from Bangladesh had a first-hand view of the grandeur of Vidhana Soudha when they were given a tour of the State government’s seat of power on Friday.

The delegation was in the City as part of an international youth-exchange programme organised by the Ministry of External Affairs and Youth Affairs. During their two-day stay here, the delegation will also visit the Indian Institute of Management, Infosys, Tipu Palace and Lalbagh. They have already visited Delhi and
Agra.

During an interaction programme held at the Conference Hall of the Vidhana Soudha, a student in the delegation said that Bangladesh was witnessing an Information Technology (IT) boom and declared the delegation’s intention to take home some of the best practices followed by the IT industry in Bangalore.

Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abhayachandra Jain said that the two countries had a large number of young people and that they should take advantage of the democratic dividend.
